In the last tutorial I showed you how to take prints using easily found materials, but if you’re setting up a Fingerprint Jewelry business, you’ll need a more professional approach to taking fingerprints. Not just from people around your area but also from clients that are far away.
The following tutorial shows you how easy it is for anyone to do this using Inkless Wipes.
As the name suggests there is no ink, and so no mess, involved. People love the magic of these wipes, the process is so simple:
- Wipe the area to be printed with the special wet-wipe
- Press the finger, hand or foot on the purpose coated paper provided
- Watch to see the print develop before your eyes, kids of all ages love this!
The resulting prints then get checked for a distinctive, clean pattern, make sure there are no smudges, ‘soft’ or gray areas present
If there are problem areas you can clean them up in an image editing program such as Adobe Photoshop, or the free online editors that will do the same job. The next few tutorials in this series will show you how to do this in detail.
After you’ve done this the process in my book ‘How to Make Fingerprint Jewelry’ can be followed and you’re ready to turn the prints into silver jewelry.
